New Apprenticeship at Erodex

29/08/2011

Market-leading Midlands-based engineering business Erodex (UK) Limited has adopted a return to old principals in its latest recruitment initiative. The company's rapid growth in the Aerospace sector had aready led to the recruitment of several new employees, in both design and manufacturing roles, before a decision was made to take on an apprentice at its Darlaston manufacturing plant.

Director John Rolinson said, "It is some time since we provided a full apprenticeship, but we believe that we have found an excellent candidate, and with the growth that we are enjoying it was the ideal moment. Many of us were apprentices ourselves in the past, and the fact that our carbon and graphite machining facility is based in the old GKN apprentice school makes the symmetry complete."

The company hopes that this will be the first apprenticeship of several that it offers across its four UK sites, including its dedicated design arm BWP Technical Services in Poole, Dorset.
